Another Approach

Here's an example of a completely different way to deal with mental illness in the family. This young woman's mother has bipolar disease, not NPD or other personality disorder, but much of the disorder she has experienced throughout her life is more than recognizable to me (the multiple suicide threats in particular). 

She chose to document it all, down to the last detail. A different approach, for sure. She's documented it all on social media and now has a photo exhibit about her mother's disordered life. I definitely could never have done it and I'm sure my mother would never have allowed it, but --- hats off to her!
